This is a small but varied exhibit with personal guided tours & not expensive. Not too much to see, but local art was nice & the archeology things of interest...

We learned a lot about Palawan and the people that resided here over the years. Lots of history with wars and how this island was a strategic area for militants fighting for its valuable location.

Under-rated activity by Lonely Planet : if you'd like to get insights about Palawan island and tribes, that is the place to go ! Very charming staff guides you (volontarily) through-out the museum and explains the history and anecdotes of the island and its inhabitants. Learned there about the Palaweno Brewery (worth the detour !) Authentic visit.

The people doing the tours were really great. They explain everything really well. The artifacts are mostly replicas but the place was worth the visit. The tour guides are really proud Palaweños. The place was a little dark and the tourguide uniforms looked old. They should be upgraded.

It seemed nice at the start with the butterflies flying about, some of whom are friendly enough to hold onto to your fingers. The scorpion apparently doesn't sting or is not poisonous, one of those, I didn't wait around to find out. Interesting flora. Then you get to enter the habitat of the indigenous Palaw-ons who play some hauntingly sweet... More

Took a trip here on ou day off in Puerto, very cheap - P50 per person and it was a great exhibit. If you have some down time, this is a great little trip.

If you have time in puerto princesa, you should drop by here. It's only P50 per person. It's a great way to learn about Palawan. It was a short walk from our hotel, and we had some time to kill. Good job, palawan government, for this! They had a hologram, airconditioned rooms, a video presentation of Palawan. It showed spanish,... More

If you want a snapshot of Palawan's history, you came to the right place. It is here where I learned that Palawan was previously known as Paragua during the time of the Spanish colonizers. More interesting facts are up once you visit this heritage center.
