Since I had some free time this morning, I took a trike to bring me around parts of the city. The driver suggested I visit Palawan Special Battalion WW2 Memorial Museum. Since I hadn't been there, I agreed. Located near the airport, it seemed deserted though we did see a couple of visitors. The lady who was Manning the place... More

Worth a visit if one was staying in Puerto Princessa for a few days. Seniors have a discounted fare. Exhibits are labelled in English but one should read up on some history of WWII before visiting as it could be confusing. I suppose if one asked the staff for a guided tour they would oblige.

The place is small but it has a lot of displays and WWII items to display. It is well organized and very informative about the war history in Palawan. Nice place for veterans to explore

A good way to spend an hour or so while you are waiting for a flight. It's close to the airport. It's quite informative if you're into military history and want to learn about ww2 fighting around palawan.

I was surprised and appalled that this museum is not getting government support. It has an extensive collection of wartime memorabilia and substantial data on Palawan's history. It's definitely worth visiting.

It was a free afternoon for our group. By chance, at the traffic light stop , we saw the sign saying this way to the WWII museum. Since my son likes history, that was the destination for the afternoon. We had so much fun taking photos of relics from the past. Plaza Cuartel was a part of the city tour... More

My grandfather served in the Army Air Corps in the Philippines in WWII, so I was really glad to see some of that history preserved and presented here. If you're interested in WWII, it'll be worth it to visit this collection. It's small, and will take just a half hour or so to go through. Our tricycle driver was happy... More

We decided to go with a guide to tell us the stories. It will be about 40 minutes if you have someone talk over the tour. I think this is the only way to go if you want the trip to be fruitful.

This was a bit of a surprise. It did not have lot of items, but the items that were there had an interest. It has a cheap entrance fee of 50 peso or 30 for senior. If you have some extra time on your hands, it is worth a trip. Might want to have the Trike wait for you, since... More

An interesting little display of the war time history around Palawan. If this is your thing you should enjoy it.
