It was a very memorable night experience seeing all the Fireflies in the trees. They look like Christmas Lights! The guides say sometimes there are Bio luminescent plankton in the river, but unfortunately, there were none that night. Aside from Plankton, what was more striking to me was seeing the Stars. There were a LOT! Since the place is very... More

My friend and I booked this excursion and were pleasantly surprised. We drove through beautiful landscapes getting there with a knowledgable guide (also a great singer) and the place was actually not as massively visited as we thought. We ate in a small restaurant there and they even brought us some extra vegetarian options (since we are both vegetarians) and... More

Nothing like what we expected - absolutely blew our minds away. Very information tour starting at city baywalk then you go by boat to see the fireflies - Tour takes ~40 minutes. We were very lucky as there were loads of fireflies to be seen (don't pick a night with a fullmoon). Night was topped off with a buffet dinner... More

Excellent trip with great food. Nighttime trip into the Mangroves to see the Fireflies glowing. Although they say you can take pictures but needs to be done with no flash. Stopped on way back to a floating restaurant for a buffet meal. Food was excellent.

So we hired a tricycle going to Iwahig Firefly Watching. He charged us Php800 for round trip. We were 3 at that time. The road going to Iwahig was very dark. Even though it's a highway they don't have any street lights which makes it more scarier to travel at night. Especially if you're not on a tour group. We... More

This is really an incredible commune with nature, not only with the fireflies but with the clear view of celestial bodies. Because of clear, pollution-free skies, and being in almost complete darkness, the countless stars and constellations as well as planets are literally heavenly to behold.

For some it may be a common thing to see firefly but for those living in the city, it's very rare to see them. This experience really made me missed the province life and learn more about them. Not only that, they also provide information about Mangrove 'Bakawan' and other creatures/living things in the area. And the experience of doing... More

Nice to see a lot of fireflies, stars and sparkling water. A quiet boat trip over a small river. Not amazing but worth to go.
