This building is in the news of late. Since just over a week, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, the entrance hall is filled with people waiting patiently for their new banknotes - Rp 200,000 or just under US$15 per person. This covers at least one example of each denomination coin and banknote issued by Bank Indonesia - a wholly state... More

Bank Indonesia is located next to Fort Vredeburg and opposite the Presidential Palace. It is housed in a Colonial Dutch building. We were there after office hours and only viewed the building from the outside. Since this is an office and a bank, we were not sure if it is open for public viewing.

this beautiful artdeco building is one of the famous icon building in the corner of malioboro street, Jogja. The heritage building owned by Bank Indonesia. if you a heritage lover, this building is a must visit, but its not an open public building because Bank Indonesia still use this as a branch office of Bank Indonesia in Jogjakarta

The building itself is worth a quick look, but you cannot go inside and visit it, so it's just the facade. But! There is a great evening-life in front of ot on the streets. This area is called Km Nol, because the distances in Jogja are being counted from here. There are many people sitting around, eating, chatting and enjoying... More

it is located at the end of Jalan Malioboro. It is an old dutch building and it is well maintained. It is used as a bank. It has the dutch influence.

Bank Indonesia Landmark was really good building. And mostly in all part of Indonesia was in white colour. Really well maintenance. In Yogyakarta location near Alun-Alun, where the Palace of King was there. That always interesting design of building. It was Colonial Netherland period leftover.

This is certainly an attractive building and it's worth walking along the street to take a few pictures. It doesn't seem like it's open to the general public, but then I visited on a Sunday and so I'm not sure what arrangements operate during the week. Located close to the Museum Benteng Vredeburg and the Presidential Palace.

Near Fort Vredeburg is the Bank Indonesia in Yogyakarta - and it doesn't look like a bank. It looks more like a church with its twin towers topped by onion domes. The Old Dutch architecture shines through and praises must be heaped at the Indonesian authorities for preserving such grand buildings. In the setting sun's light the domes are lit... More
