The Affandi museum is interesting enough, but only about half of the paintings are from Affandi himself - the rest is from his family - wives, children, grandchildren. They were ok, but not as interesting as Affandi's own work. The museum is well kept. Close...More

Really enjoyed visiting this museum which houses the works of Affandi, one of Indonesia's most fascinating and talented artists. If you like the works of Van Gogh and even Salvador Dali then you will love Affandi! Would definitely visit again

I was invited by one of my friends to visit this museum and it was a great surprise to see Affandi's works. This could be one of many visitor's options in Jogja.

Affandi is one of the greatest Indonesian expressionist painters. People called him Van Gogh from Indonesia. If you really like arts, you should visit this museum. Spare your time to enjoy and make conversation with the paintings.

The grounds of this museum are worth the visit alone. Affandi designed the buildings and lived there with his family. The entrance fee is a bit steep for a museum, at 75,000 RP, but it includes a soft drink and a souvenir (a pencil). We...More

It was an excellent experience to go the this Indonesian maestro. I'm not a fan of painting, but to know his collections was my privilege. This museum also exhibits collections of his daughter. The architecture of the house of Affandi is an interpretation of banana...More
