Very worthwhile visiting when in downtown Nanjing. Take your time, about one hour is good. IF you are over 70 years old admission is FREE!

The place is nice the night light is very beautiful I have got a full moon and a dragon which is remarkable.

were taken to see this area and found it rather interesting, although the Temple itself if nothing very special. The streets are lively with many typical small restaurants with their street-food (very popular) and little shops with all sorts of offers.

The temple is 30 RMB and not covered by the Nanjing City Pass. It is a rip-off and not better than other temples. Nearby Jiming Temple is much better. The area is nice to see, especially at night but avoid having dinner in the area...More

The Confucious Temple (or 夫子庙) was highly recommended by many. My personal take is that it has become a tourist trap with no unique features. E.g., The temple is no longer a functional temple or even museum, rather, it is now like a performing stage....More

My local friend took us to a famous local restaurant near the Carpark in front of the scholar hotel. Compared with the river front area this is less crowded. The waitress recommended us some Nanjing food. When we wanted to order a lot more, she...More

If you have visited Suzhou then this particular place would be a disappointment. It is very commercialized and just another pedestrian street to promote selling of merchandises. If you enjoy decent or authentic Chinese food, please stay away from the food stalls or cafeteria style...More
