Well preserved wall with massive park and grounds to explore. We were able to explore different facets of the park and observe the daily routines of the local Nanjingers. We also visited Buddhist temple which is adjacent to wall , very intriguing.

Even though it was rainy and foggy, the views of the city and the lake were impressive from the top of the city wall. It is a good idea to spend some time walking over it and be impressed by the blossomed trees, old temples...More

Nanjing is doing an amazing job with air pollution, and sunset at the Wall is a must-do. We were there on a Sunday night, and it seems like every family in Nanking had the same idea. Note how the brick makers had to place their...More

Worth the money to go up on the old wall. Provides a good view back over Nanjing one way and over the lake the other.

We walked the section of the wall near Xuanwu lake. It costs $30 RMB per person, but those older than 60 are free. Students are also half price. Once you get up on the wall, it goes for miles and miles and is very well...More

This was a gate to Nanjing. Make sure you do not get caught in the middle. They might pour hot oil on you. In Chinese men=gate. Good for about 1 hour visit

It depends where you coming from. There is bus from city center but taxi is not very expensive either. Best place is to go to Gate of China as this is the most historic and well preserved part. You can walk on the wall for... More
