Mongkok is the central area of HK. All the best shops and restaurants are located here. You should spend a few days exploring the area...

You can spend any number of hours here! Shopping, bargaining and shopping! The ladies market is a good place to start! Three important streets, adjacent to each other: First , sneakers street for all kinds of shoes and slippers and boots! No bargaining here! Second street for imitation stuff and local artifacts. Bargaining possible! Third street is for electronic items!... More

An old district of Hong Kong. Easy to get to, just take the MTR. It has the Ladies Market which is a large outdoor market with lots of stalls selling everything !

Apart from the well known market, in which bargaining the prize is the rule, Mong Kok offers literally hundreds of good places to eat, and a sample of the happy and lively community of Hong Kong. The best is to get lost for a while, walking, eating a few street snacks and joining the multiple dancing groups in the street.... More

Brace yourself as this is a crowded place and I am experienced in Asia. People will burrow in to get 20% of Nike (real, ones) Good diversity of stuff to acquire, fake Lego is great and about 30% of normal price, still looking for death star . Something for most people.

Since I has some time left I went to Mong Kok electronics market. With the MTR ane easy ride. The products on sale are the regular things plus of course the electronic gimmicks. Prices in ky view are no longer attractive and similar to those in Europe. So better to buy in Europe since warranty is not available from MongKok.

Staying in Mong Kok

Neighbourhood Profile
Mong Kok
It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. One reliable rule of thumb: the smaller the place, the better the food.
