I came here with my Dad in April 2017. We only expected to stop by the museum for 15 minutes or so but ended up staying for over an hour and a half! We ended up meeting Wong Sheung Wah (Eddie), the senior museum ambassador, who was excellent, so chatty and informative - his family are from the village. Obviously... More

An excellent example of a restored Hakka village, I made the point of visiting this place and wasn't disapointed. Its not large but if you can get Eddie to show you around it will be an education. He is very enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable.

This museum is a little small, out of the way, and I would recommend it be linked with other activities, but it is well worth a visit. It is a well maintained authentic Hakka house (180 year old) that provides an excellent understanding of how the Hakka people once lived. It was free of charge and our tour guide (Eddie)... More

An interesting stop to make if you are intending to hike the Pak Tam Chung Nature Trail in the Sai Kung Country Park is the heritage attraction known as the Sheung Folk Museum.
