Soho Hong Kong

I found Soho to be less busy than Central, I enjoyed. It has lots of cafes and restaurants, but it is soooo hilly!! Thank goodness for those mid-level escalators!

There are a lot of shops in this area. There is also a market that you can visit. You can buy a lot of things at a very cheap price. It isn't the fancy area of Hong Kong. It was very hot in Hong Kong when we were there in September. I was very surprised.

Soho has many different ethnic restaurants, lively bars, and a very animated night scene especially in the late evening. Lots of fun as a place to meet friends and have dinner or a few drinks.

Nice spot where you can see the local culture and also enjoy the East West fusion things, like street art or some craft store. You can find some small cool places such as nice bar or tailor made suits shops. Very much the favorite spot in HK.

Once thee was only Lan Kwai Fong, but then came along Soho with all of its bars and restaurants. It has a range of eating places from cheap to really expensive !

If you want to meet Hong Kong night, visit Soho. There are several bars and it is where people gather to drink and have fun. But prepare it because not all drinks are cheap. If your problem is money, do not worry. It has a 7 Eleven where you can buy your drinks for a better price.

We went there through the recommendation from the Hong Kong Tourist Information Centre. It was nice going up but was super tired coming down as the escalator only go up and not down. There were 24 stops but we only managed to stop one. Wear walking shoe if you are thinking of going there, prepare to walk all the way... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
