We did the cable car, boat ride and NP Village bundle and it was great. We got to skip the line because we joined a tour. The island is stunning and we had a clear day so we could see lots. Beautiful place.

We wanted to visit Lantau and see Big Buddha on our last day. We knew we had until 2pm that day, so right after breakfast, we went to Ngong Ping station to get cable car tickets. At 10 am, there was a line, but we moved pretty quickly (quicker than the line for people who had tickets). It took us... More

The cable car was shut for the two weeks when we were there. If you are planning a trip for 2017 check the cable car timetable. It is to be shut over a number of weeks for maintenance. We also travelled to the island by ferry from Central Pier to Maui Wo and then travelled by bus to Tai O.... More

No need for guided tour, would recommend going early to beat the crowd. We got there around 10:45, had to wait 30-40 mins for cable car. Also it was misty the day we went.. Other than that nice half day trip with good view, wild cows, buddha and temples!

This cable car ride is beautiful but the lines to buy the tickets and then take the ride are very very long. Booking a tour in advance enables you to walk on up and jump on. The view is spectacular, the village although very touristy tries hard and caters well with both bathroom facilities and food easily available. The bus... More

Great scenery and view as seen from the cable car. It is very near the airport, so you can actually see the aeroplanes taking off and landing.

We went there by cable car. Line to ticketing office was really long, but it was worth the wait. We visited the big buddha first, then took a bus to a fishing village called Tai O. We walked around the village, visited souvenir shops, and ate plenty of seafood. Definitely recommend to visit this place!

Ride the crystal car on the Nong Ping 360 and you won't be disappointed. Great views. Be the first to see the Giant Bhudda
