The markets themselves are not overly large and can be rummaged through in a few hours but don't hurry. Take the time to look through the stalls, poking around in the smaller stalls could be the way to find that little something you always wanted. There is generally something for everyone. For me I came home with a nice tea... More

Had a wonderful time shopping at the market and really enjoyed the beach side restaurant. Great place to visit.

The journey to Stanley Market from the city allows you view some of the beauty of Hong Kong it's architecture and neighborhoods. The restaurants with their sea view allow you to kick back and relax to enjoy the moment. The dessert however is the shopping experience at the Stanley Market which allows you to browse, shop and banter back and... More

This market is worth the 1 hour trip from the city. It's a nicer vibe, not hustle and bustle like the markets in Kowloon. The shops are well organised, lots of variety and really nice things to buy. You can haggle but be polite as it's not in the same category as the markets in the city. Lots of food... More

Boarded bus 6 from Central Bus terminus which took a scenic route to Stanley Market. Great views of the city on this bus. Cost HKD 7.50 (must have coins for the bus). The trip took around 40mins. The market was partly undercover which was good as had been raining all day. Lots of different sellers and not as busy as... More

Stanley Market is found in the small suburb of Stanley which is situated to the south of Hong Kong Island and is adjacent to the main beach and promenade on Stanley Bay. This is not your typical street market which sets up each day as it is permanent and therefore better organized. The market is a series of alleyways that... More

Got a bus 260 from the Central bus terminus and it whiz zed us in comfort, for peanuts, to Stanley on the southern shore of the island. Some tour buses were ther, so a popular destination. A good selection of stalls catering to the European, American tourist. I purchased REALLY bargain luggage from a manufacturing outlet there, really happy. Good... More

Stanley, on the south side from “downtown” Hong Kong, is easily reached by a 30-45 minute bus ride (depending on traffic) through the Aberdeen/Stanley tunnel. It is also serviced by the Green Line of the Hop On-Hop Off bus. The market has three distinct areas: a relatively small (by American standards!) modern, multi-level upscale shopping mall, a number of seaside... More

The Stanley Market has so many things to buy. The place is clean and quiet, and food to take photos in.

Quite a touristy market, very typical of a market in East Asia. Virtually all goods found here can be found in markets in China, Thailand, Vietnam and others. OK if looking for simple souvenirs, but not a must-see.
