HKG is a modern city and yet it has the most accessible trials for novice and serious trekkers or trial hikers. I am back to HKG and during my recent visit, I have made it a point to explore 1 to 2 trials and decide if they are suitable for my family when they visit. This time, I try it... More

An excellent day trip for people wanting to get away from the busy streets of Hong Kong. The place is easily accessible via public transport. The hill is not high and can be hiked in half a day. Beautiful scenery of the surrounding areas.

So I read about this hike in a few blogs and wanted to do it - my first hike! I booked it from klook.com and paid about $61 - found it pricey! The experience was fabulous though very tiring as you go uphill downhill and climb steep stairs, hike through the forest and roads with rocks and pebbles. But it... More

A gentle start which gradually became steeper as we walked over the undulating humps of the dragon's back. Our guide Michael rated this hike as moderate and it's manageable if you're fit. It gets easier as we head downhill towards Big Wave bay. It felt so good to be walking in the wide, open spaces, away from the hustle and... More

The Dragon's Back hike was perfect for us. It is long, but not too difficult. The views are fantastic and we got some great photos. It's very hard to believe this is so easy to access from the city, but it didn't take too long to get there.

This hike took around 2 hikes to complete. The beginning part, leading up to the breathtaking ocean view was lots of fun and had great views! You are literally going up and down as if scaling a dragon's back. However, the end of the hike was disappointing as you are basically just in a shaded path with not much to... More

Trekked up and almost to the top on an extremely windy day with children aged 5 and 7. Couldn't see much but the weather was pretty rough in terms of high winds and next to zero visibility. But when a rain cloud clears and you see the view it is really majestic with the sea view below. It's a pretty... More

This hike is popular for a reason. Spectacular views that are quite accessible. The hike isn't particularly arduous and one gets views on both sides of the trail. Possible to extend the hike to beaches for those more adventurous

Not demanding and such great views - perfect to beat jet lag. My friend took us up via a cemetery and that was the right way to go as the challenging bits were mostly the way we went instead of on the return. The going does get rocky in some places so use caution and wear footwear with treading on... More
