Go to Shau Kei Wan MTR station. Take a bus No.9 or a minivan from the station to To Tei Wan bus stop and start from there. There is a small picnic place near the end of the trail at Big Wave Bay. You can also start from Big Wave Bay bus stop and walk back to To Tei Wan... More

Its quite a trek but plenty of rest areas outside the trail which at times is very tight and steep, Not for the unfit or if there is chance of rain.

Always wanted to do this walk, so we caught the bus and went for a ride then a walk along the beautiful coastline. Very windy the day we went and a little cool. The public transport to get tot the walk was easy to navigate. Do you self a favour and walk the Dragon Back. Then back to Kowloon for... More

Wonderful hike with spectacular views of HK. It was foggy the day we went to visibility was not great. Moderate difficulty. We followed the path from the bus stop (9) up to the peak then down to big wave bay. Highly recommend.

I've done this hike 4 times now and I enjoy it every time. There is a bit of a climb up uneven stairs, maybe challenging for those not in basic good health. Once you reach the top there are some ups and downs along the way. Bring water, especially if it's hot or humid. Some nice views along the way,... More

The bus drops you right at the beginning of the hike. Left side is the hike to the Dragon's back and right side is another hike to the beach. I did both. If you have enough energy and time, try doing the entire trail, instead of coming back after seeing the Dragon's back.

This was for me one of the best moments of my HK trip. The view from the ridge was stunning on either side, and there are picturesque spots at every corner. We simply couldn't stop taking photos!!! It is a rather long walk, so walking shoes are highly recommended. Bring a small snack and plenty of water (esp if weather... More

A real must if you want to come away from the central of Hongkong for some hours. There are many good places to take photos or just take a nice walk or run.i can recommend a lighter type of jacket due to winds. If there is a lot of smog the walk is okay but preferable is to do it... More

There are several excellent hiking spots in HK but the Dragon's Back is perhaps the one I'd recommend if you only have time to do one. It's moderately difficult at the beginning since you will be climbing uphill. From there it's fairly straightforward (kids and the elderly do it, just at a lower pace). The views of the city and... A nice hiking experience in Hong Kong. A little exposed and hot on the initial climb, but the remainder of the trail is very rewarding. There are some very stunning views.
