Recommended by Hong Kong Tourism Board and led by true locals born and raised in this gastronomic mecca, Hong Kong Foodie Tasting Tours offers unique, small-group walking tours to help you explore Hong Kong's culinary culture. Our mission is to lead hungry souls from around the world to wander off the beaten path and taste some of Hong Kong's favorite foods. We have researched throughout the city, tried numerous eateries, talked to restaurant owners, before putting together an itinerary that features many of the locals' most-loved foods. Along our excursion, your Foodie guide will also lead you to discover some of Hong Kong's other flavors - its history, culture, architecture and neighborhoods. We will also show you some of Hong Kong's unique features and what makes our hometown so special. Our goal is for everyone to return to these neighborhoods with confidence and take advantage of the wide range of food and cultural options that our city has to offer. We are the only food tour company licensed by the Hong Kong Travel Agents Registry and we are a member of Travel Industry Council and Hong Kong Association of Travel Agents. My husband and I first went on the Central and Sheung Wan foodie tour and enjoyed it so much that we booked the Sham Shui Po tour for a few days later. We had Yammy for both tours and she was a very informative guide. We enjoyed tasting the food and learning about Hong Kong cuisine and culture during both... More

This tour was a great way to explore Sham Shui Po. The area has a different feel than central and TST and is worth visiting, and this food tour with Yammy was a great way to do it. Yammy is wonderful, shes very knowledgeable of the area and all the places we visited. We stopped at a couple stores like... More

The Central and Sheung Wan Hong Kong Foodie Tour was a great way to spend the afternoon. Our tour guide Yammy was very friendly and knowledgeable leading us on a delightful tour around the streets of Hong Kong. The food was very varied (Wonton noodle soup, roast pork, sugar cane juice, preserved fruits, dim sum, and egg tart) and all... More

We did the Central & Sheung Wan Tour with Cliff on our first full day in Hong Kong. We would highly recommend doing the tour at the front end of a visit to HK as Cliff provided many insights into local culture and the two neighbourhoods we visited. We liked the variety of stops.... from the best wonton soup we... More

I'd give this 6 stars if I could. We did the Sham Shui Po Tour and Carrie, our guide was absolutely wonderful. She's a brilliant tour guide, can answer any question about anything to do with Hong Kong, and is a really lovely person. The tour itself is fantastic. Lots and lots of food (we were very full by the... More

My wife and I joined this tour in January 2017, with Yammy as our guide. The tour covered a wide range of food, and included behind-the-scenes tour of some of the restaurants, as well as their history. Yammy was an excellent guide, and provided great insight into the various neighbourhoods that we walked through. I'd highly recommend this experience, particularly... More

Had such an amazing experience. Our guide, Carrie, was wonderful, engaging and pleasant. One of the best guides I've had ever. Brought us to some of the best places to eat whilst sprinkling a dose of history and other traditional shops like a button shop and a knife sharpening shop. Was an excellent mix of history and food. Each stop... More

Did the Central and Sheung Wan foodie tour - tour guide Cliff was great - connected individually with all within group - remembered everyone's names and made a point of getting to know a bit about you. Having lived in the USA and travelled a lot he spoke perfect English. The tour was a great mixture of food tasting, sightseeing,... More

I would highly recommend this tour with Yammy. She was a great guide: friendly and knowledgeable of the culture and history of the area. This was definitely a highlight of my first time in Hong Kong.

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
