1 of the many bustling centres of HK (Pacific Place, ICC, IFC, Central, TST, Mongkok, Jordan are some of the others). Causeway Bay has lots of offer in terms of shopping (Sogo, Times Square, Lee Gardens 1-6, Hysan Place etc.) and food (Lei Garden, Ippudo etc.). There are also many small alleys for a taste of old HK

We went to SOGO at Causeway Bay, it is so crowded on a sunday night. But what a great feeling of the city, absolutely loved and swept away by the crowd, lights and energy of this city

On most of my visits I have stayed in Causeway Bay often at the nearby Excelsior Hotel. it is full of bars, restaurant shops and a cinema. It is on the go almost for 24 hours and is one of the most lively areas of Hong Kong. Plenty to do and see but very busy most of the time.

If you are looking to buy something when in Hong Kong this is probably the best place to go. Lots of big malls namely Times Square.

if you are interested in shopping, this is a go to place. Many shops, many restaurants (even outside stalls with nice local food), many people. If I could give an advice, by all means avoid Sunday, as the metro is double the price and there are tons of people everywhere.

We as a family 2010/2013/2015 have joined thousands for HK 7's Rugby. Excelsior hotel superb. Next visit April 2017. Times Square must be visited. But Dicken's Bar at Excelsior Hotel a refuge.

Causeway bay with it's plethora of hotels, shops and everything in between is worth a visit. Victoria park is situated nearby and very good for a quiet stroll, away from the traffic and hussle and bussle. It has it'sown metro station and access to buses and trams.

Talk about sensory overload!! We arrived around 6 PM on a Saturday night. It was so crowded and noisy we really couldn't get out fast enough. Shopping, hawkers, vendors and loud music blasting from most store fronts. Really did not enjoy this part of HK at all

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
