Lots of concentrated shops. The largest is Times Square, which is multi-storey shopping complex. Duty Free Shoppers is nearby.

Be it corporate meeting, office or shopping one has to go to Causeway Bay. All big corporate offices are located in this area. This place is also known for the big shopping Malls and famous for Chinese food also. SOGO, Time Square and other malls are located there.

Times Square is central to Causeway Bay shopping but the malls are expensive. Surrounding this are street markets with cheap clothing and food. The only thing worthwhile inside the beautiful malls is the food. Many restaurants on various levels with exciting and unusual dishes such as duck and peach salad, Yum.

If you like malls and restaurants then Causeway Bay would be a good base for you. It's like a nicer Tsim Sha Tsui but I like Tsim Sha Tsui as well.

If you want both culinary experience and fun shopping experience, this place is a great place to visit! Hundreds of shops and branded-stuff shops all over the places. Enjoy both activities and will be back next year!

I am a HUGE fan of Hong Kong, and try to visit a few times a year to meet up with friends. However, Causeqay Bay is an area I always try to avoid. Don't get me wrong - as a first time tourist, it's always worth visiting once to 'say you've done it' but after that there are so many... More

Causeway Bay may be the shopping mecca in Hong Kong, but arriving for the first time, all most people see is an overwhelming ocean of humanity circulating around seemingly bland shopping centers. But only out of townees dismiss Causeway Bay as one big tourist trap. There are still plenty of treasures and, yes, bargains, to be found in this labyrinth... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
