For anyone who wants to take a simple walk (morning to night) or just want to exercise i believe this is the place to be. It's mostly popular along locals, but not too crowded. Avoid midday as it's going to be very hot. Other than that, some more trees or shadow might be a good use:)

With the drop of popularity for Pokemon Go, the walk has certainly been more peaceful and relaxed. Because of a patch, many pokestops have been removed, and so the rewards gained are no longer worth it. During day time it can get a bit to sunny, and sometimes there are mosquitoes, but during the night, it's usually a quiet walk... More

Overlooking Sha Tin hoi Bay on one side and various residential and commercial establishments on the other, the 3.2 km long Ma On Shan Promenade offers a perfect example of a people-oriented (civic) project. It offers a pleasant opportunity for the large number of people living in the surrounding (and crowded) tenement buildings to get some fresh air in very... More

We decided to hop on a local bus to any destination and ended up at Ma On Shan. It was a delightful place to visit and walk along the promenade, although we did not have enough time to walk the full length. Not many tourists here (if any) and it was great to get away from the hustle and bustle... More

A friend lives near the promenade, we had a pleasant walk on a fine day overlooking the sea and the hills.

Walking along the Ma On Shan pomerade is a great family activity. I like beautiful view, fresh air and relaxed environment, but these are not the reasons for my frequent visits. I come for rare pokemon. The Pomerade is full of pokemon. These are some of the pokemon I caught: Dragonite, Charmander, Charzard, Ponyta, Lapras and the list goes on!... More

This is a superb piece of public infrastructure that features separate walking, jogging and cycling tracks, lots of exercise areas/equipment, small gardens, toilet facilities and rest areas. It gets enormous use by the locals, and the occasional tourist. In the early morning and late afternoon it was relatively cool and breezy, but even in the later morning we found enough... More

This is a lovely promenade, tucked away opposite the Sha Tin area. Very few tourists ever explore this quiet part of Hong Kong, and a lovely stroll by this promenade (at dusk, as it's too hot during the day), provides a tranquil experience and a lovely view of the water canal and the nearby islands of the New Territories.

Cross the overhead bridge to get there. Nothing great. The promenade is concrete built all along the sea front with no trees and is too hot to walk along in the afternoon. There is a nice shadier park that I believe is created for the benefit of the residents in the surrounding area. There is a big mall as you... More

Came here on a fine day with parents for a stroll. We strolled a long the promenade and enjoyed fresh air and gentle breeze . There are people cycling a long the promenade too. Next to the promenade there is a big park with a few children's playground and a small library and a swimming pool next to the park.
