Worth trying to find.

A happy and friendly place. A little on the pricey side for a pub (around HK$ 115 - 135 for sandwich or burger) however the food was very good, well presented and served with a... read more

A happy and friendly place. A little on the pricey side for a pub (around HK$ 115 - 135 for sandwich or burger) however the food was very good, well presented and served with a cheerfulness that you don't always find in the UK. There's a micro-brewery on site, you can see it on the other side of the bar,... More

The fact that this place isn't packed full of 'friendly' women is a refreshing change for a bar in Wan Chai and the balcony gives a good view over one of the busiest parts of the area. It has a good drinks selection and friends of mine who ate here LOVED the food. We went on a Tuesday for the... More

I dined here on a slow Sunday night prior to the football rush. A good few on the balcony but very quiet inside. After a few days in Hong Kong, having had all the Asian cuisines, I fancied some nachos and wings. I was not disappointed. Both were fantastic washed down by pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord, probably the most... More

Located on the 5th floor of Broadway building next to White Stag pub in Lockhart Rd Wan Chai. Operated by cheery filipinas (are there any other kind) this pub has an extensive menu and it's all good. From burgers to pasta to steak to seafood and more. Very generous portions - you won't leave hungry. Pubs around the world could... More

This is fundamentally a sports bar with multiple TV screens around the walls. It is the home of the HK branch of the Chelsea Supporters club and the Man City Supporters clubs (shrines at opposite ends of the bar :). Additionally they brew their own Hops & Glory beers in the well displayed micro brewery at the back of the... More

Finally a place in Hong Kong where after a hard days work at the exhibition nearby you can sit and have a blissful glass of wine with a cigarette. The food was also good, grilled fish, rice and broccoli with an almond sauce. I enjoyed every bite. At last I was able to relax as I would at home. Every... More

Trafalgar is very convenient to watch the football games in the weekend outside while smoking a cigar or a shisha (shishas are a bit small and second charcoal is charged though). There menu is huge and I've never been disappointed with anything I ordered. There is also a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. The staff is very friendly.

Why do I like it so much? Because you can sit on the balcony and have a smoke with your pint. Why else? One the best varieties on beer and cider from the UK, anywhere in Hong Kong. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful, the prices are fairly average for Hong Kong, the venue is fairly central and the... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
