This place is the busiest place in Beijing, full and restaurants and bustling the whole day, from morning till very late night! Can try some snack and try some local restaurants like Beijing duck!

The juxtaposition of local stores and high-end retail mall represents China perfectly. Children were fascinated with the scorpions(?) on skewers on one of the side streets. Good place to shop for inexpensive souvenirs or Chinese snacks. Two McDonalds and at least one KFC on the...More

Wangfujing street is concentration of large luxury shopping centers, shops. However, the Wangfujing night food market is the most attractive part of the street. Street vendors offer exotic food such as live scorpions to simple dumpling. Food are tasty. There are various small souvenirs shops.

We visited this place around 3rd week of February. This was still winter time in Beijing so it was very cold. I think to make the place more attractive to tourist, officials placed fake flowers and fake plants. This really made the place look cheap...More

I went here and there are lots of vendors selling some neat street food. I tried the scorpions and they were pretty good. Other options exist, but that was the one thing I had to try.

The best thing is the location, which is just beside the forbidden city. You can try a variety of chinese snack here. My recommendation: skewer meat, tanghulu and and the chinese XiaoDiaoLiTang

Tia, I was there in December 2017 and January 2018. On both occasions the market was open. The entire area is bustling with 'all things shopping' from modern western type shopping centres to traditional Chinese shopping... More
