This is the indoor arena located in the Olympic Green. It is nicknamed the Fan due to its design resembling a traditional Chinese folding fan. At the 2008 Olympics, it hosted the Artistic Gymnastics, Trampoline and Handball events. This is part of the landmark structures in the area.

This is another important building we saw in the Olympic Park. Although there was no performance when we visited, the memory of Beijing Olympics was still there with the building.

The overall structure from outside is very impressive -both for the athletic as well as the one for swimming (blue colour structure from outside). We could not go inside as we got late but we could see from outside at 7pm both got illuminated and it was a treat to watch even from outside. The place is pretty big and... More

I didn't go inside the stadium, but the structure from the outside alone is worth heading to just to snap a picture. Having seen stadiums from all around the world including the Nou Camp and the Allianz Arena, and living a stones throw away from Wembley Stadium - let me tell you, that none of them come close to how... The stadium is great, shamefully the pollution won't let you enjoy it at is best!. We did the water cube and the stadium the same day, water cube needs some maintenance, but still won't recolmend visiting.

Its quite expensive to buy the entrance to the stadium considering that it's only a stadium. So we looked and took photos from the outside. On that note, its just another structure.

We lived for 11 years in this area, only 10 minutes walk from our home, we have seen the construction from the very beginning and enjoyed many games during the Olympics of 2008. Go here, it is a great impression!

Saw the athletics championships here. What a place and what an experience. I don't just mean the clean and nice smelling toilets. It's a great place to watch an event. Watch the ticket touts. They tried to sell us fakes. Take a phot of an original ticket and compare it to those they try to sell you. Look at the... More

I would class this as a "Beijing For Free" landmark because I wouldn't bother paying to go inside. It is the exterior of this stadium that is amazing - a real marvel of engineering and design. Just take the subway to the Olympic Sports Centre and walk around the outside.

Just took the subway line 8 and stopped at the Olympic Sports Center. The Bird's Nest is just a part of the Olympic Park but is the most obvious reason why people go there - see the Bird's Nest. The place is soooooooooooo huge!!! Lots of walking and a good way to exercise. If you want to go inside and... More
