Temple of Heaven is more than a place to visit ancient architecture. It was extremely rewarding to see chinese seniors come here to congregate, socialize and exercise. Recommended.

We went at the end of March, 2017. Despite the language barrier we bought the correct tickets and were able to wander around the large area. The old, historical buildings were beautiful and the open parkland was lovely.

An amazing architectural feat for its day, built without use of nails. The calmness of the building , amidst the hussle and bussel of all the locals and tourists, is amazing. You definitely feel a calming effect over you. Definitely worth a visit in Beijing.

A lovely park to get away from the hustle and bustle of Beijing. It costs 15 RMB to get into the park and then additional charges if you want to go into the various buildings there. Close by is the Pearl Market if you fancy some shopping. Very popular with westerners, but remember to haggle as the prices are very... More

Tiantan building itself is a amazing architecture especially the hall of prayer. This is where the old time emperors go for praying.

The architecture and detail of this temple make it a must for anyone spending a few days in Beijing. Slight disappointment that it's not possible to go inside the temple itself, but only to look in from the outside.

Definitely worth a visit! The architecture is great and the park itself beautiful! I do agree with the reviewers who recommend at least an hour here - it's just too big to go through any sooner than that!

Great place for a walk and to see the locals enjoying their daily activities like dancing and card playing. I would say that this is a must-see for Beijing and worth a visit. There are tons of flowers and interesting trees as well as the beautiful Temple.
