I love this museum. Its the biggest in the world and it also combines with cineplex which makes it easier for visitors to visit the exhibition and get entertainment. The entry is free to museum. Probably a big museum filled up with small samples of Chinese movies (and an excess of budget from the local government), but nothing else. Difficult to reach (out of the 5th ring, and this area is still on development), Taxis will usually get lost, and there is no bus stop around here. Some 黑车 (illegal drivers) will be waiting for... It was a nicely constructed museum, very interesting, but there was very little English. We went with local friends who could answer questions we had about certain exhibits. This is a contemporary complex with a number of cinemas as well as the museum which is housed over four floors. It has about 20 different rooms which take you through a cinematic journey, historically and by genre, including replica sets, waxworks of famous stars, and technical apparatus.
