It is a modern art gallery restored on a huge ruined old factory, plenty of small private owned art galleries for modern art.

798 Art Zone is interesting but not WOW. Signage "you are here" information boards needs urgent rethinking and updating. Not the cleanest area.

Refurbished factories turned into art galleries and shops? Ok. Once you have tackled all of the major Beijing attractions, this is a cute get away close to downtown.

To explore the many exhibitions, arts shops, cafe and restaurants. A nice walk and can spend up to a day just indulging in the atmosphere. It was too cold when I was there so will be nice if they have more outdoor heater.

You can walk around without actually going into the stores . 99% of the things to see are on the street anyway.
