Come here in the morning and find yourself surrounded by people doing Tai Chi, choirs singing old Chinese and communist songs, ballroom dancing, erhu playing and what not. The ballroom dancing lasts until late night and it is hard not to join in!

Part of the Temple of Earth is familiar from other temples: big buildings, spacious parade areas, etc. But much of it is just a great, big park with lovely walking paths, ponds, sculptures, and even play equipment. If you need to decompress from all the...More

This was the location of my favourite Temple Fair. Easily get there on the subway and follow the people into the park. Sample regional foods, buy reasonably-priced souvenirs, snap some colourful photos and play some sideshow alley type games. Temple Fairs are like market style...More

We visited the Ditan temple fair over the new year holidays 2016. The temple is located in the centre of the city, close to lama temple. A huge area bustling with people of all ages, from children to old people. The place is well decorated...More
