Fantastic travelling experience in Kenya with my partner. Moses did an awesome job in advising on best things to do and organising everything for us. The best worry-free travel experience I've had in a long time. From the safari in Tsavo to the day trip in Mombasa to the last-minute family weekend safari. His drivers were experienced, thoughtful and accommodating even for requests that were not in the itinerary. Truly awesome experience and highly recommendable!

We had a great time in Wasini Island with Pili Pipa Dhow. Great snorkeling and family experience. Safari was out of this world and the kids really enjoyed the whole experience. We were able to make informed choices courtesy of the advice of Moses and his team. James is a great driver, very knowledgeable and very friendly.

I highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to go on a safari. There is a reason why they are so highly rated on TripAdvisor as they will literally cater for any of your needs. The customer service that we received was outstanding!
When I originally looked at booking a safari I didn’t really have a clue about anything. I sent an enquiry to El Moran and it wasn’t long after they had replied to me. Moses (boss) sent me detailed information on the parks, lodges, prices etc and then we worked together to see which one suited us best as we were only in Kenya for a week. I remained in contact with Moses as he advised me on the best places to stay and answered any general question I had. He even offered to arrange transport to our hotel from the airport. He was more than happy to help with anything we needed. On safari our driver was lovely and made us feel very comfortable as it was just the 2 of us on it. He was very knowledgeable about all the animals and had a laugh with us around the park. We did an overnight saty in Tsavo East with 3 game drives and saw plenty. On returning back to the airport at the end of our holiday we were greeted by Moses with a farewell present and a thank you card for booking with them… For me that was the icing on the cake. I’ve never received such brilliant customer service. We are hoping to return to Kenya next year and we will definitely be booking another Safari with El Moran.
Kenya is a beautiful country let down by the political side of things. If you want to visit the country but not sure because of the travel bans etc, my advice is to ignore them and go. We didn’t see anything out of the ordinary that you wouldn’t see in other countries and we both felt safe too.

We have used El Moran on 3 separate Visits to arrange Safaris, Day trips and Bigf game fishing as well as hotels and transfers.
I would use no other company to make my arrangements when visiting the Coast. El Moran provide a "Rock Star" level of service... at a price that is less than big Operators. Moses and his team provide remarkable customer service, superb Safari guides and nothing is too much trouble for this fantastic team.
If you are looking to book a Safari, go with these guys, you get a bespoke service for the same price as a "mass" safari that all of the major operators offer.
From the very start we knew we were in for a treat, we traveled as a couple from our wonderful hotel on the coast that El Moran had arranged. Our Safari guide arrived on time and with a huge smile... my smile was even bigger when i looked across at the "hotel" safari and saw 10 people getting on the same type of vehicle that just me and my partner were boarding... Bespoke service... that was only us, no squeezing in and taking turns to "meercat" out of roof trying to catch sight of animals before it was somebodies else turn...
Our accommodation was breathtaking (Lions Bluff East Tsavo) again organised at a preferable rate by El Mornan.
The Safari guide was amazing, tremendous depth of knowledge and experience... always the first to spot and show us the animals, before all of the hotel safaris come looking.. (we saw cheetah, lions and leopard with cubs..all on a kill) plus of course all of the other main animals (we asked not to seek a rhino as it would attract the hotel safari wacky races and potentially poachers..) but my particular favorite was the wild tortoise...who knew tortoises lived on the Savannah?????
I cannot recommend El Moran highly enough. If you expect amazing personal service, great accommodation, excellent guides and a bespoke rock star level bespoke experience for less $ than the mass safari companies, contact these guys and let them take care of you,

We have been on many safaris in Kenya over the years with different companies, but El Moran Safaris topped them all. In our opinion El Moran Safaris cannot be beaten from an organisation point of view, communication and fun.
We booked our safari from Mombasa, on line through El Moran Safari's website a few weeks before our holiday, which by the way, is a very informative website. We received answers to our questions promptly and thoroughly and were not disappointed one bit with any aspect of our booking.
During our Safari - the transport was always on time, the lodges were luxurious, the guides were great fun and the food amazing !!
We cannot fault anything with our Safari, we had an amazing time and would recommend El Moran Safaris to anyone.

I booked with El Moran during my stay in Mombasa in 2011 and there was no other safari company to consider when I returned to Kenya in 2013. Why? Because I don't believe any other company could have given us the one to one service that El Moran provides. During 2011 my sister and I did 2 safaris, one to Amboseil and Tsavo East, then Tsavo East and West.
Moses, with whom we booked the trips is an amazing person. None of our requests were too much trouble for him, even when we returned in 2013 and asked specifically for Coleman as our guide/driver who had taken us on the game drives during our 2011 trip. Coleman is very knowlegable and enthusiastic, friendly, funny and caring whilst still remaining professional at all times.
Staying at Aruba Lodge and Serena Kilaguni during our Tsavo East/West safari, I was amazed at the quality of the accommodation. At Aruba we had the water hole right at the back of our room and you could hear the animals moving throughout the night and the elephants calling. The dining room at Kilaguni looked out over the water hole and the sprawling plains. We saw the elephants, zebras, water buffalo, wart hogs etc whilst we were having our lunch. Whilst at Kilaguni I left the patio doors open whilst getting ready and turned round to see a rather large baboon sitting on the patio wall. Never moved so qucik in my life but what an awesome experience.
We also visted the volcanic Chyulu Hills whilst staying here.
Prior to our return to Kenya in 2013 I contacted El Moran and Moses and we worked out an itinerary that fitted what I was looking to achieve during this visit as the company is so flexible to meeting the requeirements of the customer. This time we booked a 2 night 3 day safari which was the Tsavo East Saltlick safari. Here we stayed once again at the wonderful Ashnil Aruba Lodge in Tsavo East and the Sanctuary of Taiti Hills at the Sarova Saltlick Lodge. OMG, what a picture to behold when you first set eyes on the lodges at Saltlick. as you drive across the plains. Set upon stilts the lodges are stunning. With a water hole that you are able to look down at the wildlife on from your rooms or going to down to the underground viewing tunnel this is a truly spectacular place to stay.
On returning to my hotel, I had another excursion (Cultural Visit) booked with the holiday company that I had travelled with. During this time another couple were looking for safari companies to book a trip with. I did not hesitate to recommend El Moran due to the intergity of this company, the service they provide and the professionalism of their staff.
I recommened the organisation to other travellers whom I met whilst on this visit who were seeking out safari companies, particularly emphasising the bespoke service El Moran offers.
My sister and I are looking to return in 2014 and once again our company of choice will be El Moran.

After eight long years out of motherland kenya,a decent five nights /six days combined safari was well deserved.The best thing i did was to chose El Moran safaris.They tailor made an itinerary for my wife,two sons and i, The tour guide was very informative with vast knowledge about Tsavo, Amboseli and Mara.We had the best time in my life,My eldest son Quincy now wants to relocate back to kenya hahahah.I WOULD RECOMMEND EL MORAN TO ANYONE FOR THEIR GOOD SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALITY.

Moses, the head of El Moran is one of the best people to deal with. He's thoughtful, remembers the smallest of details and more than anything, goes out of his way to help sort out any problems we had. The went beyond his duty to continuously follow up to find our airline lost luggage, while we enjoyed out trip was exceptional. He is exactly what you need as he treats you like family, with the same level of consideration, care and affection.
He was great at booking things for us, which improved on our sightseeing..not to mention how flexible he was to adjust our itinerary. Our trip included a two day Nairobi tour with a trip to a coffee farm and some views of the Karen Blixen restaurant.
An 8 Safari days in Samburu, Nakuru and Masai Mara was out of this world, and trust me, it kept us looking out for more time there. We had knowledgeable safari guides in John and Jackson and were blessed to see rare and beautiful jackals, a stunning striped hyena, the gorgeous Secretary bird, an owl, cranes, three types of giraffes (who knew), prides of lions, any amount of elephants, cheetah, leopard, zebras of two varities, Wilder beasts, hippopotamus, the black and white rhinos, packs of spotted hyenas, 9 types of antelope, the creepy Marabou crane, hundreds of blue and orange Kingfishers, hosts of multicolored birds, gigantic Boabab trees and so much more.
We picked some amazing Masai bangles, belts, chains, head gear from Christine at Narok. She is Masai with immense talent
Our Mombasa trip included snorkeling, definitely some sun burns to remember lol, a city tour, the Akamba wood carvers, the all inclusive Boabab Spa and Resort which had non stop entertainment n jambo team, lovely staff, and not forgetting a trip to the Marakit to buy nuts, black salt dried mangoes, boabab and coconut sweets, lots of clothes, and the Aqeeq jewellers opposite the Old Fish Market to look at the rare Tsavorite and Tanzanite stones. Bomas to understand the tribes cannot be missed out. Ocean soul touches your heart with Eco friendly products
All in all, an adventure that was easy on the young and the older folk in our family. A must do with Moses who led us safely through. Many more future trips to be planned with El Moran Safaris across East Africa

I had the best New year experience ever,thanks to Moses and his team. The hotel we stayed in was near the creek and so the sunrise and sunset every morning was beautiful and irresistible.

Emailed a few companies before we travelled to Kenya and Moses replied very quickly. I explained what I wanted and together we tailored 2 separate safaris for our time in Kenya: an overnight stay in Masai Mara and 5 day driving tour in Tsavo West, East and Amboseli. Moses gave me different options depending on budgets and recommended the best for us. We were very happy to go with his recommendations and after experiencing the safaris would also take his advice in the future. El Moran also arranged our airport transfers and our driver Iddy was very friendly and helpful. Our driver of our 5 day safari was Alfon, was again very friendly, and could certainly spot the wildlife, even whilst driving, I think he must have eyes all around his head! He felt like part of the family.
We would certainly use El Moran again anytime we are in Kenya and happily recommend to everyone.

We want advice about visiting Kenya for safari. If the big 5 happen to be in our binoculars all well and good but having already seen these on a number of occasions, they are not the only animals on our list! Without too much traveling or staying in a different hotel / camp each night, our idea is to stay in Kenya for about a week finishing somewhere near an airport where we can get a transfer to Cape Town. Your advice would be welcome but I wondered if Saburu, Tsavo , Naivasha and Masai Mara, all places I have been, is a possible?itinerary?

Based on this 2 points of avoiding too much traveling and staying in different hotel/camp for a night, I wish to advise that Tsavo, Samburu, Naivasha and Masai Mara are far apart and will involve too much traveling.
If you land in Nairobi hopefully in the morning, we can go straight to Samburu for 2 nights, 1 night in L. Naivasha, L. Nakuru 2 nights and 3 nights Masai Mara. These are premier parks in Kenya each unique in its own way and very good accommodations for relaxing. However, traveling to Samburu is a long drive but very interesting with fantastic views.
The last day, from Mara based on your flight, I can advise If it is possible to have lunch or dinner at the Carnivore restaurant.
Tsavo is way out unless you land in Mombasa and depart from Nairobi or land in Nairobi and depart from Mombasa.
Please don't hesitate If you have any queries.
