One of the less visited temples in the Thebes, is one of my favourites because there are no crowds here especially when you visit it late afternoon. I did make lots of photos here and I did experiment with my camera because there weren't many...More

Habu is just a couple of miles from Hatshepsut's temple and the Valley of the Kings and it is worth a quick stop. It has a lot of interesting carvings on its walls related to the battles with the 'Sea Peoples'. Color on the ceilings...More

Our hotelier recommeded this, and we were very glad we visited it. Beautiful reliefs, deeply cut, which has preserved them for us to see today. Better than most temples, so go out of your way to see it.

This is a temple of one of the most powerful Pharaohs king RAMESESS the 3rd. It's one of the most beautiful sights with its original colors and hieroglyphics and unique arts.

After this temple was built for the cult of Ramses III, it served as a model for later temples. It was built as a fortified place to resist attacks. It is well preserved and seems to be outside the traditional tours in buses. This made...More

Another segment of the west bank tour, Habu was a little less than what we had already visited (Valley of Kings, Al-Deir Al-Bahari), but still very nice and interesting. Photos permitted here.

Our private Egyptologist, Sayed, saved his favorite temple for last. Another wise choice on his part. The temple to Ramsees III was spectacularly full of color considering it is about 3200 years old. The hieroglyphs are cut deeper into the stone than any others we...More
