Small interesting temple that was completely salvaged by the Germans before damn completion. It's on an island so you have to park and take a small boat over to the resettlement island. Largest temple ever salvaged in Egypt. Having a excellent guide makes a big...More

This smaller but very interesting temple was salvaged like many others when the high dam was constructed. It is fairly well preserved and almost always not crowded unlike its neighbouring Philae

I got there through Aswan Individual - Daily Tour and it was great tour. Island located in Nasser Lake near the High dam, and you go to it using small motor boat from small harbor behind the high dam

A little temple comparing to Philae for example. But less visitors get to see this temple and you have a much more serene tour. Quietness of the site and better photos opp. A 10 minutes boat cruise is to be expected at the most.

When my friend and I visited the site the only other visitors were two Germans. This is a shame, since it is a most interesting place. Located just above the high dam, a motor boat is required to reach the island where the Kalabsha temple...More
