My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Egypt in which we took a three-day cruise on the Omar El Khayam traveling from Abu Simbel to Aswan. We were both very favorably impressed with this ship. Our cabin was reasonably spacious and kept...More

The Jaz Omar el Khayham cruise ship is no longer,in my opinion, as described in the company website or as described on google websites. The drawbacks are perhaps individually minor but add up to a lower quality cruise than I paid for or expected. Firstly...More

Our group of 22 cruised this November. The cruise was one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt. The ship was well run, the staff were outstanding, and the dining was excellent. I just wish we could have had a little longer before we...More

Egypt..on our Bucket List for years! It's very, very safe and one of the most interesting places you'll ever experience particularly when you think you're visiting sites that are B.C.!! We sailed on the Omar El Khayam (beautiful boat with great service, food, nice rooms,...More

We did a lake cruise on the Omar El Khayam as part of our tour of Egypt and found it very pleasant. Some of the small temples we saw along the way were interesting, although all had been relocated.

Did a tour cruise on Lake Nasser on the M/S Prince Abbas. Service and food on the boat was excellent. Rooms were clean and housekeeping kept it that way. As there were only 30 people on the boat during the cruise we practically had the...More

Lake Nasser is a vast reservoir in southern Egypt and northern Sudan. Strictly, "Lake Nasser" refers only to the much larger portion of the lake that is in Egyptian territory (83% of the total), with the Sudanese preferring to call their smaller body of water...More

Well done. Beautiful place and totally functional. In harmony with the cultural heritage. Dismantling and reconstruction of Ramses and Nefertiti temples absolutely remarkable. Wow.

Are there any guaranteed Lake Nasser cruises, taking in Abu Simbel? Wild Frontiers were supposed to be running a Lake Nasser trip for new year - but both the this year's one and last year's one were cancelled due to lack of interest. Am planning a trip to Egypt early 2017 - to include a 'fly & flop' to the Red Sea - but would like to choose dates to encompass a Lake Nasser cruise from Aswan to Abu Simbel. Many thanks!
