Every day when the sun sets, the bustling city of Cairo, the famous pyramids on the Giza plateau south of Cairo are absorbed in the darkness of the night, however, the great light and sound show bring them to life again. Thousands of years have passed since the Pharaohs walked on this Earth, but with your imagination and our show, we bring the history alive to you; every show provides attendees with a learning experience about ancient Egypt as of its significant beginning, the pyramids

Staying in hotel very near to the Giza plateau and pyramids the evening Light and sound show was very accessible. Definitely either go with personal guide or with your tour group to make visit to area pleasant. Before going to this show I read several reviews that talked about " cheesy" factor which is perhaps true by way of dramatic... More

I went to this show in February and found it to be the most boring show I have ever sat through.Considering the backdrop they have to work with, don't waste your money or time.

This show really needs an updated, the lighting is repetitive, the narration boring, worse part its very cold and windy. I did love the initial 30 seconds of when they lighted up the Pyramids, then they tended to switch it off and light it again every 5 minutes, the same process going on for the next one hour. There are... More

If you get the opportunity to do this take it!! It was one of my favourite things to do in Cairo, it's a overview of ancient Egyptian history and makes the pyramids look even more awe inspiring. A must when in Cairo

took a friend who was visiting Egypt for the first time and she really enjoyed it, even though the technology is a bit outdated but the majesty of the pyramids and the sphinx make up for that! I recommend you go before your actual visit to the pyramids, cuz its like a teaser plus it gives you a brief history... More

Been to other sound and light shows such as the Friday night show on the River Kwai in Kanchanabury Thailand, and was very disappointed in this show at the pyramids. The sound is only voice recordings and there is no nice dramatic music to accompany the lights. This show is in need of a facelift indeed. We also had dinner.... More

Very informative, interesting, and we'll worth the bargain entry price! I attended with colleagues and really enjoyed it.

On the same evening we arrived we got an introduction to the pyramids and the sphinx. The English show was at 7 and it took one through the starting of the site being selected and the Nile nerby being used to carry the granite from Aswan. It took one through the history of Egypt in the one hour.

The taxi will leave you in front of the gates of the site, you buy your ticket and get in. You need to walk about 100 m, and then choose a seat (when I visited it, there were plenty of seats and very few tourists, I am afraid). Difficult to calculate the distance, but you are rather far from the... More

It was very beautiful and visually stimulating. Went to the English show. It would have been nice if the voice over was in an audible Arabic accent rather than a full out British accent to give it that whole "Arabian Knights" appeal. During the winter months it is extremely cold at night, although they do have blankets for rental so... More
