SO this this basically the largest bridge connecting downtown cairo, it is not an attraction but usually something to avoid cuz of traffic. But if you are interested to walk across the nile with a great view and a piece of history, there is a much smaller bridge next to it called Kasr ElNile Bridge, that would be a very... More

Nothing special about this bridge and you not miss anything exept loads of traffic and a glimpse of the Nile.

I walked across it numerous times. It's a major bridge with tens of thousands of cars using it. It's a mad house.

Not really an attraction as it's a highway bridge. Filled with people standing on it randomly during traffic.

It's an interesting thing to see. It gives you a great view of the Nile. Just be careful when you travel over it to avoid rush hour traffic jams.

The 6th of October Bridge is a major feature in the traffic flow in this mega city. A huge construction that carries millions of cars, it is definitely one of the infrastructures that make life and commuting in Cairo less chaotic than it currently is.

Without this bridge you would not be able to go from one side of Cairo to the other unless you take the ring road. Of course this bridge was done and finished long before the ring road. The Sixt of October Bridge saved all of us living in Cairo, though it is always congested, it just goes to prove how... More

On our recent trip to Cairo we drove under and over this bridge. There isn't really much to say about it other then the traffic is horrendous.
