What a fascinating place! Not as absorbing or well-preserved as larger sites but still very much worth a look - well presented and accessible artifacts. Also a nice environment in which to see them, without hassle.

Nicely arranged with good information . Need a tour guide to get the most out of this experience. The detail on the Ramses statue are specially relevant.

The statue of Ramses was discovered here, hence they decided to build an open outdoor museum at the site of discovery..other than the historical aspect there isn't really any significance of the statue lying horizontal at this particular site. You will find mini-Sphinx and other...More

As far as museums go, this one was very average. Going with a guide will help you understand a number of facts about the significance of Ramses & Memphis. Visit it if you're super into ancient Egyptian history or if you are visiting Dahshur &...More

We visited this museum as part of our tour and I enjoyed it very much. You should allow 30-40 min and go with a guide to understand the history and significance of this place.

A really interesting museum with so much on offer. There are literally thousands of items on display and they contain so much history. It is all very exciting and definitely worth a visit.

This is very interesting because it is the ruins of the largest ancient city in Egypt. Very little of the ruins are left - we were expecting to see more. But what is there is amazing, the original Sphinx is particularly large and elegant. Seeing...More

This is an outdoor museum of antiquities. The memphis museum is quite small, but it contains two huge, spectacular and beautiful statues of Ramses II and the rare alabaster Sphinx. The Ramses statue is very interesting. Lay prone on its back, broken off below its...More
