Al-Azhar Park is a large park with some amazing 360 degree views of old Cairo including the hills behind as well as panoramic views of the old city the citadel and the City of the Dead. The park itself is on a gentle hill and...More

The landscape is very rare to find in a city like Cairo. It is a must visit for Egyptians and tourists alike. The magnificent view of Old Cairo and the Citadel is just breathtaking. The best place to dine with a view is "Studio Misr"....More

A huge beautiful park. Very suitable for family picnics. There are restaurants & we were lucky that a show was being performed.

I set high expectation before visiting this park according to the other reviews, but I found it normal park without any exceptional services or facilities. Green areas with little children playground surrounded by few and small restaurants. I think I will not visit it again.

We did both. What a treat. This park is considered the lungs of the city. Few years ago the Aga Khan renovated this area to support the local craftsmen. Great getaway in the middle of Cairo to get away. At night the restaurant had great...More

Kudos to the Aga Khan for converting a dumpsite to a beautiful park for the people of Cairo. For the traveller, you will find great views of Cairo, particularly if you dine there at night.
