This was a fast visit, it didn't take long but it was truly amazing to see and experience in person. Plus to get there, we went through the 'Garbage City' area of town and that was fascinating in itself. All in all, a worthwhile trip.

This is a modern built church, full of character and history, it is in an open cave like site, it has many icons carved into the rock and is huge, there were guides and they were very helpful

An amazing place, very spiritual and calm. I enjoyed the explanation of the local guide and the ride back to the bottom of the hill on a rick-shaw. The "zabbalin" shanty neighbourhood is also very folkloric.

This is so worth the trip, especially for Christians interested in exploring Christian Cairo. After driving through garbage city, you are suddenly stunned with the beauty of this place.

Well our Islamic guide recommended that we see this religious site which is relatively new by Cairo historical standards. Safe. Well attended by all faiths as an attraction. But the surprise for us was the most interesting thriving city of Cairo's garbage handlers and all...More

The three churches located here are amazing. The carvings in the stone and artwork are beautiful. The people of Garbage City are friendly and inviting.
