"A talented troupe of Korean performers treats Cookin' audience to a taste of Culinary lunacy-sliced and diced to percussive perfection." - Playbill, Minetta Lane Theater - NANTA premiered in 1997 and is the longest running show in Korean history. This electrifying 90-min show, on the comically-charged efforts of four cooks who are tasked with preparing an entire wedding banquet in just one hour, is one of Korea's most popular musicals of all time. Since its first performance, this world famous non-verbal performance made a record of 20% above full capacity at the theater driving the largest number of audience in Korean history.

Love the show! My friend was quite skeptical initially, but we both enjoyed this show throughout. Though it would be better if we could take photos after the show with the cast.

I watched the show last April 24 (I think or 25), 2017 with my friend. It was a very entertaining show and the actors and the actress were really good at playing the instruments. There was photo-op with the cast afterwards.

The show was enjoyable and there wasn't a second that we got bored. The show was mostly drum stokes, dances, and using gestures. You don't need to worry about the languages at all. They used real vegetables and real knifves in the show and that was fun. We booked the tickets in the morning for the same day evening show... More

It was indeed a night to remember for the six of us who watched the show! Why? There's a story behind it and it's my first time to watch a musical show using kitchen wears, kitchen tools or I may say all things that are located in a kitchen. The actors performed excellently! They all sing very well and they... More

We enjoyed this interactive show. It features cast that makes use of kitchen instruments as beat musical instruments while they dance or do little acrobatics. Very creative and entertaining.

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
