The vuews are amazing but the walls lack protective railings so great care is needed if you climb them.

Fortress is a diamond of old tbilisi, with a church inside. It's one of the best sites to get to know with Georgian pride history.

We trekked it up the hill to th efortress and were rewarded with a amagnificent view of Tbilisi. The fortress itself, to put it bluntly, is old rocks; however the history, ambience and view make this a must see.
