To get into the basilica you pass underneath a later belfry that graces the street outside. The interior of the church dates back to the 6th century, is indescribably impressive and, better still, used as much as it was 1400 years ago

A masterpiece of Georgian religious architecture. The oldest in town, severe and dark but really fascinating.

This is approximately 2 Kms stretch of shopping, hotels and restaurants, all kind of upscale ones. We visited this place due to Indian restaurant 'Spice Garden' that is situated on this avenue. Had some shopping experience in shops that had the 'Sale' - not so...More

This is perhaps the most important basilica to see in Tbilisi. It's not the largest, but it is old and venerated because of the relics inside.

One of the oldest churches in Tbilisi. Close from the old town, so you should go there. Very dark inside.

Right near the theatre is this church, a quiet place from the hustle of Tbilisi streets. Inside it is dark and serene but nothing too special.

This is one of the oldest churches in Tbilisi. It's in the Old Town and it is easy to find it. It looks really fantastic, I would even say that it smells like history :)

Our guide told us that this is one of the oldest building in Tbilisi , that it did not have any major renovations over the centuries and that it was still operational . Amazing ! Easy to find , close to the Clock Tower .
