If you're arriving in Myanmar through Yangon you should definitely go their and hire a guide. It will allow you to get a first idea about the culture and history of the country.

I've been in 2016, albeit briefly, but this time I allowed for time, and detailed look at every as pecks from ethnic clothing to musical instruments. It's worth a visit, but it is not something that should be rushed.

A rich muséum deserving more than 2 hours...diversity of themes, would deserve better presentation, however, we have been impressed by regalia objects , piece of furniture , costumes and ethnies, music instruments etc....great visit !

5000MMK if you're a foreigner and 500MMK if you're a local.

Hi does anyone know what the opening hours are? Lonely planet says Tue to Sun 9:30 to 4:30 elsewhere says 9:00 to 4:00? Thanks

Hi, I visited couple of months ago and then it was 9.30 to 4.30. I am not aware if the timings have changed. It is closed on Monday and National Holidays.
