This is a very pretty building. It is difficult to cross the road to get there because traffic goes around it in a circular pattern. There are some interesting colonial buildings near by and a very nice park. We enjoyed watching the children and families play.

Nicely located in the heart of Yangon. Good to be a place to visit as part of a day city tour. Many places surrounding Sule Pagoda to visit.

Wow... On a round about with drivers on the wrong side of the road. Shops on the out rim, and all this as a place of wonder and significant cultural importance. Take the time to explore the surrounding area which is full of colonial building. I really like this city.

This is in the middle of town. Getting there is unpleasant in the heat although there are several old crumbling colonial buildings nearby. There are better ways to spend your time.

This was one of the first Pagodas we visited in Myanmar so we had nothing to compare it to. We enjoyed the visit because we saw a lot of new things, like the shrine for the people who are born in each day of the week, a total of 8, because Wednesday has morning and afternoon for some reason. The... More

We were met with a pressure of buying some flowers to give as a sacrifice at the pagoda, 1000 kyat... then there was an entry fee, 4000 kyat. Then there was a guy that started following us and explaining what to do with the flowers and about the pagoda. When we were done with the tour, we figured that he... More

Sule Pagoda is a nice place to visit, the good thing there are other sites very close by. The Vandoola Park is just across the street and on the other side of the Park you have the Yangon Court with a beautiful colonial building (the red one).

If you are in the city center area, surely you could not miss Sule Pagoda. It is quite literally in the center of the busy intersection, which makes it really difficult to cross to get there. The surrounding area is also commercialized. There is an entrance fee of 3000 Kyat per person.

The pagoda itself is very beautiful but the surrounding spaces are dirty and there is a lot of rubbish gathering in corners and around the 'island' the pagoda is on. The park opposite is a good place to cool down afterwards, although crossing the road is a challenge!

The nice thing about this Pagoda is that it is relatively large and very central. Not as prestigious as Shwedagon, bit still quite nice.
