So we are not big snorkellers in our family so I was feeling a little apprehensive about this trip. They picked us up from our Resort and drove us to the boat. We took the boat over to Hideaway Island. In my eyes, it was...More

Great beach for families, but be aware it isn't really sand, it is crushed up coral. So it is a little nice if you don't like getting sandy, but not so easy on bare feet.

I recommend everyone go visit while they are on holiday. We saw a great diversity of fish, coral and other marine life. The underwater post office was really interesting and we sent a few postcards and are already eagerly awaiting their arrival! I recommend getting...More

One of the better places to snorkel near Port Villa but has become tourist central. Underwater post office is a fun gimmick. Not to deep and not as much fish as I have seen in other parts of the world.

We bring school groups to Vanuatu and have always stayed at Hideaway. It has a 24 bed (6 room) dormitory with lounge area which is brilliant for groups. Teachers sleep in nearby bungalows. The food is really good and catered for all fussy eaters. Great...More

We had a wonderful time as day visitors to the island. It's a short and pleasant boat ride of approx 5 minutes and $1250VT entry fee. The water is very clear for snorkelling and the fish colours and variety are amazing. Reef shoes are a...More

It's easy to get there yourself, you don't need to bother with tours is my opinion. We went to Hideaway Is. after spending the morning at the Mele cascades waterfalls as it's just down the road. When we got dropped off, we caught the free...More

Shouldn't cost you more than 1000 Vatu per person one way for a bus or you're definitely paying foreigner prices. It costed me 300 Vatu to get from the middle of port Vila to hideaway via bus.
