Didn't spend enough time here - felt a little out of place - not speaking fluent French etc. But we were made welcome nonetheless.

This building is quite beautiful and a great example of what colonial Noumea would have looked like. The building is only open certain hours so make sure that you visit when it is open. Otherwise, just a quick look from the outside.

The Bernheim Library is a beautiful example of French Colonial architecture in Noumea. The grounds and buildings are well worth a quick visit when heading up to the cathedral or the Museum of New Caledonia from Place des Cocotiers.

What a great find . I always visit libraries where ever I visit , this was a gem. its like walking around in another time , beautiful buildings all in the same style in an enclosed compound. A real find was the SALLE EIFFEL ....More

this library contains a lot of books , but most are in french. Nethertheway the building by itself is worth a glance, as its conception is by Eiffel, the same engeener who imagined the Eiffel tower in Paris. Entrance is free.

We went there to see an exhibition of how Rail helped to establish New Caledonia. The exhibits were excellent and staff helpful.

May not impress the average person, but as a librarian I was delighted to see a well stocked library being fully used. The architecture, old colonial, is impressive. Only for the enthusiast

I visited this place because I had nowhere else to go on Saturday. I love the architecture but it's probably only take about 10-15 mins to walk around the library.

This can be done in 5 mins. Lack of things to do at Noumea brought us to this place. Otherwise, we wouldn't have visited.
