the zoological park is a great place to visit with the kids. We had a picnic in the shade of a tree and saw many birds including the famous kagou. A nice to do with the kids. Next time, we might take a guide.

Have been twice already to the parc while cruising South Pacific. The parc is a real highlight of Noumea. The colourful and rare white peacocks are just walking around the park with no restrictions, and the parrots are super cute to watch Watch your jewellery...More

An impressive park with many bird enclosures. It also has a dry forest circuit with regular stops and explanations about this very special forest. Not very easy to find in Noumea, so get your map ready!

Really loved the Parc - the animals were great and we got to have a scenic hike around the ‘panoramic’ trail. Definitely worth a visit, the staff were very friendly and there was lots of see (loved the ostriches!) however we were disappointed that the...More

You get to see examples of the island's wildlife, especially birds, close up, in a fairly natural setting (allbeit in cages). Earlier reviewers have given pretty full and helpfull accounts.

Actually went in January 2016. Got around the zoo on a segway. The only way to do it when it's hot. The zoo is quite hilly so save your feet and have some fun while doing so. Reasonably priced. Taxi was cheap to get to...More

We caught a taxi there and got a good view as the park is quite high. The entry fee was very reasonable: 1480 francs. It has a visitors centre with lots of information (in French). We had coffee and donuts at the kiosk. We enjoyed...More

Lovely parkland, nicely kept with some interesting birds. White peacocks amazing. Small admission price and well worth it.

We were most impressed with the endemic birds and the write ups on each advising on their state of endangerment. When you see how close to extinction some of these treasures are you have to appreciate the efforts that are going on at this facility....More

This park was well set up and the keepers friendly and informative. I watched the Caledonian crows retrieve their food from old logs where there food was pushed. They don't hang about and it was all very interesting. Also some Cagau the national emblem. Was...More
