Visiting the gallery/home....once 2 years ago and just recently. Although the furniture and ugly rugs have been removed the home is even MORE amazing now! The docent pointed out 'new' findings and helped update information that was mis-communicated in the past. A note here, they do ask for a small fee because it helps the community learn about art!!! Also,... More

My wife and I had the opportunity to attend a showing at this gallery. This was our first visit to this gallery and it is a lovely Victorian home. The art show was quite good but the highlight to me was the home itself with lots of charm and interest. I highly suggest you visit this place if you are... More

Docent who guided us through the house was very knowledgeable on the house and history of the town. Amazing art display from local artist on display throughout the upstairs rooms.

The beauty of the wood in the balistrade, doors, and woodwork throughout the house is beyond words. I really loved the ball room on the top floor. It was gorgeous! The short tour is full of information on the house and the original owners.

The mansion is set up as an art gallery, so it is not loaded up with furniture and things from the past. However, the woodwork in the floors and throughout the house are something to see. An enthusiastic guide will take you through the house and show you all you want to see. Don't miss this place.

Historic Victorian home with incredible craftsmanship displayed in the woodwork and inlaid floors. The. Muchnic family donated the house to be used for the arts in Atchison. Due to current renovations, the first floor furnishings had been removed. Plans call for the second floor art displays to be moved to the first floor. It seems a shame because the home... More

The house is very nice and the volunteers were sweet. The art exhibit part is a bit small, but worth seeing the house.

This art gallery is in another historic mansion in Atchison. The home itself is an amazing work of art. The craftsmanship shows in every tiny detail of the home. The art museum, located on the second floor, was just OK. I was disappointed that the rooms that housed the art had carpeted walls and flooring. Every floor in the home... More

Thanks to Tripadvisor reviews, we stopped by Muchnic Art Gallery for the house tour and art gallery. The lower level is still decorated from the last residents at this house in the 1920s. As stated in other reviews, the ornate wood work and wood floors are the highlight of this tour. The house also has stain glass windows. There is... More

The home is actually very beautiful. The carved woodwork along with leather used with the design was magnificent. The tour guide was very knowledgeable in her knowledge of the home and told me all about the family and how they had donated it to be seen and enjoyed by others. The furniture was very ornate and matched the time period... More
