This is the place to see the Birds of Paradise, Raggiana. It is best seen with a guide who will know where the Raggiana do their display. I went with a birding tour. The park was clean and had picnic pavilions. Vault toilets were available....More

We drove up from the port to see the birds of paradise. Unfortunately our ship was late getting in and by the time we were in the park it was too late to find any birds. The park is pretty and well maintained. There are...More

Variata NP is a bit of a winding drive from the harbor, if you are visiting from a cruise ship, so be prepared for lots of turns on a narrow road. Once you get up in the mountains, you'll find a beautiful tropical rainforest draped...More

A 30–45 minutes drive out of the hustle and bustle of city life north up on to the Sogeri plateau. A great picnic spot for the family. Also birdwatching, trekking and camping. Best to visit as a group rather than a duo for safety reasons.
