We came here on a Friday afternoon and we're welcomed warmly by the lady on reception. She quickly offered us to walk around the ground floor and outside areas. They have a lovely swimming pool, tennis court, and plenty of relaxing sitting areas to complement the stunning architecture.

It is a great hotel for historical and old time hotel lovers, with beautiful gardens, magnificent building and charming rooms. I love to stay here; it is very quiet and pleasant. The staff is very helpful, always with a smile. If you arrive to Asuncion by air, do not forget to book the hotel transfer when making room reservation.

My experience with this hotel is through an English friend that stayed consistently at this hotel whenever he came to Paraguay, and he always praised it for the attention that the personnel dispensed the traveler, locally it is considered one of the best local hotels, that is still managed by the same family, and it is possibly the oldest of... Be sure to ask the hotel staff to tell you about the history of this place. Nice gardens close to downtown.

Charming even if not very well maintained. Good and helpful Staff. With investment it could become a nice place located not far from the center and the shopping area.

The most traditional Paraguayan of all hotels. Beautiful gardens, a big pool and very old style. It is a bog hotel yet with a botique feel. Situated back in a neighborhood not on a busy street. Good food too

Although truly gran by Paraguayan standards of 50 years ago, it's just OK for today. The location is also OK, not too close to everything, but in the general area. The rooms were definitely old style, with shutters to the outside courtyard and fairly poor air conditioning. Still there was an en suite bathroom and the toilet worked fine, so... More
