Small jewel

It is a small museum where you can see a nice collection of the history of Paraguay. The atmosphere is very attractive!

It is a small museum where you can see a nice collection of the history of Paraguay. The atmosphere is very attractive!

Only 4 rooms and now housed out of town.. due to move again next year so ask at the Tourist Office on Calle Palma before walking there. A private collector donated these paintings to the city. They are beautiful and worth the visit. Free museum with helpful staff.

First, please note this has moved. It is nine blocks away from its previous location (same street). The old building still has the "Bella Artes" signage. Regardless, this is a VERY tiny museum and the art is pretty poor. Unless you are an art major, skip this.

First of all, let me note that this museum is no longer co-resident with the National Archives and is now located at 1345 Eligio Ayala, near the corner of Eligio Ayala and Curupayty. This museum contains some of the contents of an Argentinian collector as well as some Paraguayan artists. The exhibit is small but we were greeted by a... More
