An incredible museum - the paintings on the ceiling and the walls are breathtaking. It's well preserved and user friendly, we can read about the exhibits by using the touching screen showing detailed information in English. A must visit in Bogota.

The Santa Clara is a stunningly beautiful jewel box of a church. Dripping in gold leaf and high baroque ornamentations, the interior is well preserved and glows in gorgeous blues and reds from the frescoed walls. The e-tablet descriptions are helpful for details. Especially enjoyed the creepy tunnel for confessions all deep scarlet and mysterious.

Ample collection of religious artwork from the colonial era with explanations. Plus the architecture is interesting.

There is a entrance fee of COP 3,000, which is well worth it, in my opinion. It is a church with is decorated with many paintings and sculpture of saints. The walls and ceilings are covered with gold, flower motifs that are very beautiful. There is a touch screen explanation of the history and art, which has about 5 language... More

We visited the museum as we were told it is the oldest cathedral here. It is beautiful and the ceiling is really unique. There were various visual stations where we could read and understand the displays. All the statues were kept in good condition and were well maintained.Only complaint is the presence of some modern art - the nest, wetlands... More

We stopped in front of this museum during our Free Walking Tour offered by the Tourist Office. Our Tour Guide briefly explained its history, particularly the construction materials used. It peaked my interest and decided to visit it after the walk. I was surprised to learn that only the ground floor have art works on display. I thought there would... More

Personally I enjoyed this more than the famed Gold Museum. The interior is both beautiful and interesting, with high-tech touch screens that provides information on the art and crypt in the church.

It was the Cloister Church, from the Clarisas in the 17 th century! So there is still the old confesional boxes, the choir loft, where the nuns were hidden from public! Great colonial paintings in the walls, the golden altar, with a beautiful triptic! And what I like the most, between the ceiling's beats fantastic hand painting from Flora and fauna! Ask the guide for it... More
