I'd rather walk around La Paz lol

Buses are for lazy, old or physically handicapped people. The city is safe enough during a day for a stroll, don't be shy.

Rather than do the small walking tour of the city we opted for a more extensive one with Banjo Tours called Off the Beaten Track Walking Tour & Moon Valley, which was to go from 9.00am to 5.00pm. The day of our tour happened to coincide with a public transport blockade and we were contacted by Banjo asking if we... More

We took the open top bus that departs from Plaza Isabel. We did both the city centre tour and moon valley. Decent value, good to understand geography of the city. Good commentary on the headphones. However, the main reason I wanted to write a review was to advise anyone thinking of doing it to be VERY CAREFUL if sitting on... More

We did a 1/2 day tour with a private guide and driver (for the first part, rest was walking) and got to see it all. Made my peace with La Paz! Wonderful city, that needs explaining from a local. We visited Valle de la Luna, saw various neighbourhoods from rich to poor, the Plaza Murillo, a view point above the... More

This is an incredible (and cheap) way to see the city of La Paz. Start at the high cities and go down into the valley. Then you can reverse the direction. The tram is used by locals as public transportation, so you might want to avoid the "rush hours." But it runs until 10:30 at night, so the day is... More

There were enough people (6) for a private bus tour of La Paz city. No one will point out the huge head statue of Simon Bolivar on the right side as one is within a mile of the Vally of the Moon. Ask the tour guide or driver to point it out. Worth a photo. Valley of the Moon is... More

We did the bus tour that stops at Moon Valley on the first day. The guides on the buses are very helpful and speak English and the commentary on the headphones are in a number of languages. The second day we did the city tour which again is good and stops at the Mirador overlooking the city. We thought both... More

The pioneer service brought by "Espacial" Travel Agency was already copied by other cities. Offering four schedules and 2 circuits. Two shcedules in the morning and another two in the afternoon. The first circuit will take you downtown and the second one to the southern district of the city. At first it would offer a 7 language recording that explains... More

Not exactly a hop on hop off bus..and will take atleast 2 hours to get around due to La Paz's traffic. My friend & I laughed til we cried due to the low hanging power lines that we declared it was a city death road tour!

We did City Tour and Valle de la Luna with JuliusTours (office at Av. Illmani and in Sol Andino Hostal , 2 we do know). Downtown La Paz you can also check by yourself. Anyway, on the day of our tour, there were several bloqueados in center of the city, so we get an EXTRA tour with amazing views from... More
