Casa Pueblo is one of the many places to visit nearby Punta del Este. "Casa" became a legend in the '60s and '70s and somehow is still able to offer in the 21st Century a great, artistic and almost magic visit. Be there to enjoy the uniqueness of the sunset in Punta Ballena and to travel through the life of... More

For 240 pesos per person it is well worth the visit. Start you tour with the visual presentation to set the tone and appreciate the artwork. Every where you turn you see something new. Loved it. See if you can find the Salvador Dali tiles and Picasso plates. . .

This house resembles some kind of teletubbies / gaudi abode. It's definitely worth a visit and has nice bright artwork on it's whitewash walls. Great sea views. I found it quite amusing that the shop sells cut outs from it's unsold books as artwork prints.

There is a travel agency at the bus terminal that provide a tour finishing it at Casapueblo. However, this tour drop you there 15 min before the sunset, so you... More

Beautiful art around the walls, many options for sale. Great place for souvenirs, since the art is great. Beautiful building to explore.

Home of famed Uruguayan artist Carlos Paez Vilaro, Casa Pueblo is a sprawling white complex perched on a bluff above the ocean and houses many of the artist's most definitive works. Construction of this unique and spontaneous architectural design took 36 years to complete and the results are truly stunning. In addition to the art, views from the premises are... More

On my very short stay in Punta del Este I went to visit this special house ... Worth a visit but not worth to have a meal here .. Small museum but spend a couple of hours here discovering the universe of this amazing artist ...
