The number of sea lions, amazing

You will know you're getting close, the smell. There are so many sea lions and sea wolves in one place. It is amazing. Some are giving a show, most just lazing around.

The trip to the Isla was too long and it was wery cold at the boat! The "lobos" were funny and noisy, but it was too cold to think about swimming with them. The trip was only in spanish and portugese, so we did not understand all what was happening either. If you just want to see the lobos (not... More

Expensive, long and uncomfortable trip for only 10 minutes watching from long distance. No introduction, no comment

We went with Dimar Tours. The day before two cruise ships were not able to start tendering operation as the sea was quite rough. Waves around 1,5 metres. Dimar Tours was the only tour operator doing the tour under these conditions and we made it with 6 people – by sharing a boat (Tattoo V) for 400 US $. Nobody... More

We did a tour out to the island with one of the companies at the port (you'll have to go down a few steps to find the tour operators... It's not that obvious). We didn't have to reserve in advance. There are 2 main options, you can take a bigger boat, or you can take a small boat and then... More

This is a great trip and definately worth it. We booked through a tour operator who has a kiosk down on the decking near the harbour. The boat is lovely and the tour guides spoke great English and had some really interesting facts. Saw loads is sea wolfs and sea elephants. Was lots of fun and better than we even... More

Ok it wasn't that windy a day in port but gee our vessel became the vomit boat. The chairs are uncomfortable and if you feel sick there is nowhere to lie down except two lots of 3 airline chairs. Me an another woman argued over whod get them. I did triage since i had a real temperature i got the... More

Is the second larger sea wolves natural habitat in earth, the calculation is approximatelly 300.000 animals living there... Very interesting to visit and appreciate the island, located 5 nautical miles away from shore, The light house is one of the tallest in the world with 66 meters focal height. The rotating beam could be seenig from 14 nautical miles away.... More

Seeing thousands of sealions in one place is, indeed, a peculiar sight and something to remember for years to come. Friendly and skillful creatures will entretain children endlessly. A stop over in Isla de Gorriti on the way back makes the outing a true "advanture" for kids
