This beach for some reason has the clearest water in Punta del Este. You can have a relaxing dip while you enjoy the fabulous view of the Gorriti Island and Yacht port. Excellent for kids and family. There are some pubs/cafe at the beachside. Enjoy!

The mansa side of the beach is pretty cool, it has a lot of families with kids but also is kind of a scene where there is a bar and music. You also have a long wooden walkway you can go take a long walk on. I'd recommend sunset there, which in January is about 8pm.

This is a calm beach with small waves for the whole family to enjoy. Parador 5 has good food, but Parador 13 has recently been renovated. Excellent water sports school on Parada 10. Jet skis next to the Conrad hotel section.

This was a very nice beach, it had clear but cold water, very calm also, very nice beach to walk around and watch the beautiful sunset with the landscape and nice Punta's golden skyline.

nice place to visit. The water is calm and warm and good for young children or beginner swimmers. Or if you are like me and just want to kick back.

One of the most beautiful beaches in south america, this is the calm beach part (two main beaches, the Mansa and the Brava), each one with its own characteristics. The Mansa, the quite one, is the more relaxing one, with a large walking cost, incredibly beautiful view, very enjoyable water, and what is more important, is the atmosphere that can truly... More

Nice white sandy beaches and warm waters. I arrived via Ferry from Argentina to Uruguay, then I got onto a bus to Punta del Este. Everything was pretty straight forward and manageable. You'll find your "whose who" of South America's rich and famous....not that I did or cared to. The prices can be a bit higher than Montevideo, but it... More

If you want to be on the calm side of the ocean ..you swim and play on the beaches at "playa mansa" great for small children and more relaxed then the ocean side which enjoys in contrast surfers and the fearless swimmers riding or diving into the waves with abandon !

My wife was mugged by two men on a motor bike at mid-day on the main beach road. When they grabbed her bag she was pulled off her bicycle. She suffered severe lacerations to her head, a broken shoulder and severe abrasions to both arms and both legs. I called 911 and tried to get an ambulance but they refused... More

We loved spending Easter day at playa mansa. We thought there would be tons of families out and about, but found the beach relatively un-crowded -- plenty of space for everyone and great views!
