Worth a short visit but nothing more. This is a modern "living museum" place a.k.a. an opportunity to eat & drink, shop etc. On the side there are a range of workshops showcasing everything they can think of about arab life - history, religion, trades etc. The idea is a reasonable one, but the execution is poor. It all feels... More

As it is famous location (and free), I was expecting bigger place with more things to see/do. It is a small 1h activity, just to walk around

With its own beach to accommodate the traditional fishing boats, a cafe for refreshments, lemon mint now firmly my favourite drink, and museum. Various daily activities give you a flavour of a time long since gone in Abu Dhabi

On the list of things to do. You can make the most out of it. Took us about an hour to see it all. Informative? Yes. In depth? Not really but with a basic understanding of the UAE culture, it comes together. Great view back towards the city. Best part: FREE

A little way out of the city along the Corniche this is certainly a great place to get a flavour of Abu Dhabi in days gone by. Word of advice, doe's get busy so be prepared to wait a little while for taxis' back to the city.

What a wonderful insight into the history of the Emirates. This small but super museum is well worth the visit and gives you a history lesson in the Emiraates and how it has matured from pearl fishing etc., to the oil fields and modern day growth

A good idea in principle but it could be executed much better. Quite a few things weren't open so there wasn't much to do. The things we did see were interesting like the mini museum and the Artisan area. Reception, womens handicraft, some of the artisan area even and the agricultural were closed or nothing to see. I think with... More

This is the 3rd time i visit this place and it is really an enjoyable experience, the place is only few minutes walk from Marina mall and the entrance is free, inside there is old camps and houses where people used to live and there is also a nice musuem with stuff that was used years ago.

We had a stop to see artisans at work. The view across to the Corniche was nice as was seeing the old abra boats. There was plenty of tourists and the amenities struggled.
